At Authors we love experimentation, finding new techniques that make our work more fun or efficient. We also love being Open Source, so we wanted to share Blender and After Effects project files from a recent project we enjoyed concepting and creating.
Plexus (node or web-based structures) are hard to build and edit in After Effects, they take tons of layers and are easy to break. So we built a rig in Blender that makes it super easy to adjust node position and animation. This scene was originally animated for an explainer video we did for Udemy, but we’ve modified it here so we can share it with you. Check it out and make something amazing. We’d love to see what you come up with.
